Gradation of the boundaries

When living together, we deal with public and private boundaries in variating degrees. This gradation of boundaries was my area of study.
If a border is an imaginary line which separates two areas, a gradient of a boundary is a dotted line. Thus the private and public boundaries are interspersed, by different lateral lines for. ex. outside and inside. The gap between these words create new spaces.
